Along with inherent abilities, the best basketball players also work with talented coaches who are eager to pass along their wisdom to the new generation. Coach Terrell has so much wisdom to give, both about the game and about life itself. It’s this wisdom that sets him apart from other basketball instructors, as he’s truly devoted to uplifting the lives of the students he works with.
A Life of BasketballIn college, Coach Terrell attended Northern Oklahoma College, where he also played basketball. After receiving his Associates degree in Physical Education and Coaching, he pursued his bachelor’s at St. Gregory’s University, where he also participated in the basketball program.
From there, Coach Terrell made his way to the Philippines. It was there were he was awarded the prestigious Liga Tournament MVP while playing with the Pampanga Buddies. Never one to rest on his laurels, Coach Terrell continued to pursue his love of the sport stateside. Only this time, he turned to coaching.
Coach Terrell has great enthusiasm for helping students achieve their full potential, which is why he’s devoted himself to coaching over the last several years.
He’s coached students at the AAU Louisiana Dynasty Program, while previously serving as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at the Baton Rouge Community College. He’s also spent time coaching students at the Danny Granger Basketball Camp, in addition to working as a physical education teacher and basketball coach in a high school setting.
Along with his many impressive credentials, Coach Terrell offers something greater to his students. He works to build confidence in young people so that they can constantly strive to be the best version of themselves. Through his mentorship, students not only learn about the game of basketball. They also receive important skills which they can use to navigate through life.
